I used our smoker on the back deck in Brooklyn for years, and now I use it on our screen porch in the winter. The police station is right behind the house, but so far so good. I live next door to and across the street from cops who know that when my smoker is working, tasty free food soon follows. I await the summer, when, in the interest of internal consistency, the SFD will be required to cruise the streets, busting illegal backyard barbecues.
